Important information about RiverPlex Camps
Our program provides a wide variety of activities which include, but are not limited to: playing in our indoor AquaPlex as well as our outdoor water/sand play area, arts and crafts, health and fitness activities and sport activities in our climate controlled arena. In addition, we have access to a variety of activities such as the Rolling River playground, the RiverFront biking/walking trail, the downtown fountain and much more. Counselors are trained in leadership, safety procedures, activities and supervisory skills.
Children will be grouped according to age. Campers should bring their own lunch, swimsuit and towel on a daily basis. Drinks and snacks will be provided in the afternoon. All fieldtrips and activities are subject to change. Children will participate in a wide variety of activities on a daily basis and we ask that your child wears the proper footwear.
Want to register online for any of these camps? You can register through the Peoria Park District's Online Registration system. (Please be aware that you will not receive a member discount or early bird discount with this option.) You can also download the registration form to complete at home and return while registering in person at either the RiverPlex or the Glen Oak Pavilion.
Summer Camp 2013

Come join the RiverPlex Summer Day Camp, where every week is a water week!

Register your child by April 5 to receive the Early Bird Discount of 10%, (5% multiple child discount cannot be applied in conjunction with early bird discount). Must register in person to receive Early Bird Discount.
Sign up early, maximum number of spots will be 80 campers per week for summer of 2013!

Let the Games Begin: Ahhh…...the sun is shining and you can hear children laughing and screaming at the top of their lungs………..SCHOOL’S OUT! Spend the week with us playing, dancing and singing to celebrate the kick off to summer 2013! **No camp on Monday Memorial Day, fee is less due to 4 day week. |

| 55371 | 6/10-6/14 | Aero Mania: Join us as we create “things that will soar”. Children will have the opportunity to create items to float or soar in the air and have the chance to test them out. |
| 55372 | 6/17-6/21 | Hitting the Waves: We’ll have fun in the sun this week riding those gnarly waves, cowabunga! The children will participate in their own luau celebration. |
| 55373 | 6/24-6/28 | Raiders of the Lost RiverPlex: We’ll be searching for the lost RiverPlex medallion this week as the groups go on scavenger hunts with their counselors. |
| 55374 | 7/1-7/5 | Willy Wonka: We’ll let the children experiment in the kitchen this week, with desserts and candy making. They’ll even get to create their own art and science experiments using edible items from the kitchen. **No Camp on July 4th, fee is less due to 4 day week. |
| 55375 | 7/8-7/12 | Splash-n-Dash: Are you ready for all kinds of relays and races? We’ll be competing in lots of dashing activities this week on land and in water! |
| 55376 | 7/15-7/19 | Game Show: Bringing back the old favorites and playing the new age games. Double Dare to America’s Got Talent RiverPlex Style. Your child might be smarter than a camp counselor or the next winner of Deal or No Deal. |
| 55377 | 7/22-7/26 | Wet, Wild and Wacky: Children will probably get wet this week as we play more of the fun water games, make crafts involving water, do science experiments with water and tie in the importance of fine quality H2O. |
| 55378 | 7/29-8/2 | Fantasy Land: Calling all Super Heroes or Disney Princesses. Children will be able to create their own story book and have a chance to reenact their book with other characters from camp. Please plan on wearing your favorite costume Friday. |
| 55379 | 8/5-8/9 | Island Explorer: Aruba, Jamaica, oh I wanna take ya………………….let’s go exploring. We’ll take the children on an expedition around the world learning how to live, dance, and play like other cultures and compete in some Survivor style challenges. |
| 55380 | 8/12-8/16 | Mud Pie: Plan on getting MUDDY. This week the children will have a dino dig in mud, slip n slide in goop or mud, crawl through mud in an obstacle course. DON’T WORRY, parents, we’ll hose them off before they get picked up. (Please don’t wear anything to camp that you don’t want muddy, children will have the opportunity to change clothes before going home). |
