Les Mills classes
Les Mills: Body Attack
This is the ultimate cardio class! This Les Mills 2 peak cardio format focuses on athletic conditioning and training by doing plyometrics, running, as well as agility and power moves to get the heart pumping! It also includes some upper and lower body strengthening.
Les Mills: Body Flow
A combined Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
Intro to Body Jam
An introduction to the basic movements used in Body Jam. This class is designed to help the beginner become comfortable with the dance moves utilized in Body Jam. It is offered the first Monday of the month at 7:45pm and you can stay for the 8:00 pm class. This beginner level class is 15 minutes in duration and is for everyone!
Les Mills: Body Jam
It's the ultimate dance class! This Les Mills class blends the latest dance styles together with the coolest sounds currently topping the charts. It is a cardio class that mixes dance and aerobic moves with an emphasis on having fun while sweating!
Les Mills: Body Pump
Get on the fast track to a strong and toned body! Les Mills Body Pump utilizes barbell weights and awesome music. This class is perfect for men and women of any fitness level. You don't want to miss this class!
Les Mills: Body Step
This is a Les Mills step workout that will make you feel alive and energized! Using a height-adjustable step, this exhilarating workout provides cardio blocks to push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning to shape and tone your entire lower body.
Les Mills: RPM
This class will take you on the ride of your life and is the ultimate indoor group cycling experience. This simulated bike ride is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. You ride at your own pace whether you want a tough ride or want to build endurance. A sweat towel and water bottle are required. Bikes are limited, 24 hour advanced registration available for 15 bikes, remaining 5 bikes are first come, first serve. Call our registration desk at 282-1700 to reserve a bike.
General information
Group exercise does not discriminate by age, gender, or fitness level. Each class brings together groups of people who are interested in learning from great instructors how to have a safe, effective and fun workout! Try some of our group exercise classes for yourself. They are a great way to relieve stress, lose excess fat, tone muscles and provide a renewed sense of well-being, both emotionally and physically!

Other Fitness Classes
Turbo Kick
Turbo kick is a class suited for those who love high energy workouts. This class takes cardio kickboxing to another level! Turbo Kick choreographers have developed movement patterns, combinations and techniques specific to the ancient sport of Muay Thai Boxing. This team has developed the ultimate cardiovascular challenge complete with a sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength/endurance training and a Tai-Chi like cool-down.
Zumba
Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba®! Classes are Wednesday evenings from 6:45-7:45 pm in the Member's Gym.
POWER HOUR (formerly Boot Camp)
The next session for Power Hour will begin July 12th and runs through August 21st.
Work out 1, 2, or 3 times per week with a group led by several RiverPlex trainers for challenging, full body weight training workouts that will get your heart racing, your blood pumping, and keep your motivational levels high. Weekday sessions are divided between cardio and strength and Saturday sessions are a mix of both. Modifications will be provided to accommodate people of any fitness level. Core Body Strength
Designed to improve functional strength, body composition, coordination and balance, this 60-minute, full body, integrated resistance training class may also improve your cardiovascular fitness.
Back to Abs
This class is for anyone who wants to tone their abs and get strong core muscles. It is 20-25 minutes of abdominal work using varying tempos, movements, range of motion & equipment; back strengthening too. A perfect class for any skill level!
Duathlon Cycling
This class is a great cardio workout that combines intervals of group cycling and running. If you're not a runner but still want to participate, you have the option to walk or power walk during the running interval. A sweat towel and water bottle are required. Bikes are limited, 24 hour advanced registration available for 15 bikes, remaining 5 bikes are first come, first serve. Call our registration desk at 282-1700 to reserve a bike.
Fit Kidz
A class designed specifically for kids ages 8-13. It's all about the kids! Not only will this class educate them on how to take charge of their personal health, but they will be physically active and learn about safe exercise.
Group Cycle
Freestyle cycling over all kinds of terrain! Come increase your cardiovascular endurance and strengthen your legs, while enjoying a great social atmosphere. OSF classes**
OSF Hi/Lo Floor Aerobics
A high intensity low impact floor aerobics class that builds up choreographed combinations throughout the cardio segment. High impact options are demonstrated to increase intensity. You finish the class with some strength training and Ab work.
OSF Lite-N-Lively
This class is for beginners or those with special needs. This lower intensity workout provides exercise at an easy to follow pace you can perform while standing or sitting in a chair.
OSF Tai Chi
This is a relaxing Tai Chi class for all levels. It consists of a series of slow, graceful, circular movements that benefit both mind and body. It enhances your strength, endurance and balance. People of all ages and abilities can improve flexibility, decrease stress and ease activities of daily living.
Fit and Strong!
Fit and Strong! is an award-winning, evidence-based physical activity/behavior change program developed by the University of Illinois at Chicago, Center for Research on Health Aging (CRHA) proven to benefit arthritis symptoms and promote an active lifestyle. Beginning Yoga
Always wanted to try yoga? Here's your chance to experience the latest trend in group exercise. Don't be intimidated, our certified yoga instructors will ensure you have a great experience. This class is for participants of all fitness levels.
Yoga
This is an all levels, general yoga practice. Explore your limits physically and mentally in this class. Come with an open mind, leave with an open heart.
Yoga/Pilates
A great combination of Yoga and Pilates. This class is perfect for strengthening your core muscles, developing strength, flexibility and balance. It is also great for developing your mind and body connection. This class has dedicated participants, so come and share the experience with them.
Yoga for Runners
This yoga class is designed for runners to help correct muscle imbalances resulting from high impact training. The movements will help align joints and improve bone density, as well as strengthen and stretch muscles to prevent pain and injury. Breathing techniques utilized in this class can be used to relax muscle tension, promote circulation in connective tissue and recover after participating in various sports.
