Without a doubt, personal training is a great way to learn the latest tactics in the world of fitness. But it also helps you realize your potential and physical ability. It builds your confidence and self-esteem. And it allows you to gain control over your own body image.
The RiverPlex Recreation and Wellness Center employs personal trainers that have the education and training to help you meet all of your fitness goals. Our team will show you how to participate in a safe and productive exercise program that will give you results. Whether you are looking to add some intensity to your current fitness routine or just getting started in the pursuit of your fitness goals, we can help develop a training program for your specific needs. The RiverPlex team of trainers is here and ready to help you!
Every new member will be enrolled in our Healthy Start Program, a one-hour course to help familiarize new members with the basics of healthy eating, weight loss, and goal setting. You will also learn to create your own workout program including the FITT principle, proper form, and designing your strength, cardio, and flexibility routine. Classes are held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00am and led by OSF registered dieticians and RiverPlex personal trainers. You must register for this class as we only have 30 slots per month. To sign up, visit the RiverPlex sales desk at 691-1542, call Amber Parkinson at 282-1543, or email aparkinson@peoriaparks.org.
